This artwork was lovingly created by Frances who lives with her French husband and four children overlooking a verdant valley in the Tarn with views of the Montagne Noire (Black Mountains) and the Pyrenees.

It is a trading card-size piece (3.5 in x 2.5 in), which is unframed on 300gsm cold-pressed paper, and created using watercolour, pen & ink and Derwent colour pencils.

An original artwork, it does not exist anywhere else in the world, and is inspired by the views from Frances's studio in the Tarn, France. As spring turns to summer in the Tarn there are hundreds of green hues as the trees bloom and summer beckons. Frances has tried to capture this seasonal transition in this painting.

 It comes with a certificate of authenticity and is signed on the back with details of the artwork. 

In this series, Frances paints her favourite local landscapes – those that inspire her the most – paying homage to the beauty and tranquility of the French countryside, which led her to move to France (from the UK) and build a life there.
